After several disappointments with other real estate agents my wife and I contacted Ian Chandler at "Coldwell Banker’s Real Estate". Ian inspected our 33 acre property, home and detached garage and suggested taking a video of the property to show the great views and potential. None of the other companies suggested this and I am convinced that this played a major role in getting our information out there.

We discussed an asking price based on the existing assets and it's potential. Ian found a buyer, we began the process and Ian kept us informed and guided us through the process. There were some frustrating bumps in the road but Ian maintained his optimism and forged on when things seemed rather bleak. The buyer's agent dropped the ball on this transaction so Ian took over and actually found a lender for the buyer, something his agent should have done!

Next came the escrow procedure which is very involved but, again, Ian held our hand and guided us through the process to the end and we successfully closed the deal.

If it were up to me Ian should have gotten the entire commission for this transaction. He did his job as well as the buyers agent's responsibilities. He is a young and enthusiastic very professional agent and he gets our kudos for a job well done with an effort above and beyond all expectations. If you are looking to buy or sell your real estate you would be hard pressed to find a more professional agent than Ian.

Ian is a person who, most importantly, has integrity. When my house failed to sell in 2021, he approached me stating that he believed that the house would easily sell if I was represented by the correct firm and broker. At the time that he approached me, I was physically mentally and emotionally exhausted from having the house on the market for months, trying to live in a house that was being staged for a sale. When I had someone approach me, who had been interested in buying my property in Templeton for years, I contacted him to ask if he would represent me since the potential buyer was a broker herself. Subsequently, we proceeded to accept offers and show the house to potential buyers over at relatively brief period of time. At that time I was , ready to move and clearly not interested in doing major repairs or jumping through hoops in order to sell the house,. Another words, I wanted to do an as is sale. Long story short it ended up that the sale was Drug out for weeks longer than we ever anticipated . During this time, Ian went above and beyond in order to try to make things work. He was patient, persistent, and professional. End of story the house finally sold!! There were lots of unforeseen twists, and turns, partly due to the state of California and the complexity of selling and buying in the state. And partly due to what I would consider an unnecessarily drawn out process. Throughout and maintained a professional attitude and also maintained communication, trying to keep everyone calm and hopeful. I might add that one of the reasons that persuaded me to engage Ian‘s services is that he is a family man. He’s the father of Many children and a dedicated family man. This is a huge factor in my opinion when choosing someone to walk you through a complicated and often frustrating process. He has an unusual combination of experience, heart and tenacity. A great combo. You won’t be disappointed if you go with him.

If I could give Ian 10 stars, I would! Ian was an absolute GEM who came along just in time after a long, arduous, and VERY unpleasant real estate experience with another selling agent; it was the worst real estate experiences I have ever endured! Ian came to my rescue last minute, took control, set me at ease, and the deal closed! Thanks to Ian, I'm unbelievably busy designing my new landscaping and meeting with contractors to remodel my new home. Ian made all of this possible by literally saving the deal to sell our geodesic home in Paso Robles so I could relocate to Morgan Hill. Finding a lender for a geodesic dome was almost an insurmountable obstacle. The buyer's agent gave up trying after an initial 20 turn downs. Prior to listing with Ian I had been trying to sell my property on and off for several years without any success. The most recent time it had failed to sell, Ian contacted me and insisted it would be worth my time to meet with him, if only to give me advice on what I might be able to do differently in the future to get it sold.
